2 Things I want to bring to your attention that will soon make a major impact on anyone doing business on the web:

1) Facebook will soon be introducing it’s own search engine (in combination with Bing) that will make “likes” more important than “links” as a way of ranking top sites. This will be real competition for Google and Mark Zuckerberg has famously said – “we are approaching a time when who the message comes from will soon be more important than what the message actually is.”

2) The second is Google introduction of it’s new “Caffeine” algorithm. Without getting into all the specifics, this new version of the search engine allows Google to search the web faster and will dramatically change who is showing up on front page of search results.

There will be a HUGE advantage to those who continually produce new/fresh content in the form of social media, video, podcasts, etc – and there will be a lot of established businesses that are going to see their power positions start to disappear like sand castles on the beach. This means real opportunity.

I can’t stress enough that in both cases – what we are doing with Mindboom Media is positioned exactly for this new “gold rush” on the web! The campaigns that we are building and putting in place will not only win the day, but with continued emphasis will get stronger and stronger with each passing day.

This is exciting!

Get yourself ready. This is going to be a wild ride…
